So here it is. What you all have been waiting breathlessly for. ;) :) Jk.

Update: I will be recording some of my music June 3rd in a professional studio (eek! So excited!). I'll only be recording about 4-5 songs, however as you can see below there are more than five songs posted. I'm going to need YOUR help with this. :) So...... I'm having a GIVEAWAY! For those of you who don't know what a GIVEAWAY is, let me explain. :)

I will be giving out a free copy of one of my singles to a lucky winner (don't worry, you get to pick the single. :)) Why is this special? Due to cost and time, I will NOT be able to put my songs on iTunes anytime soon. However, I am (eventually) going to figure out how you can buy downloads - probably off amazon. How do you win? Well, it's simple really. :)

1. Comment on one or more of my songs. If you can't be positive, I would appreciate constructive criticism. ;) :) (1 entry)

2. Rate my songs from most favorite to least favorite. :) (1 entry)

3. Share the link to this post on your blog (make sure to copy the link to your blog in the comments below to get credit). (2 entries)

4. Follow my blog (2 entries)

The winner will then be picked out of the raffle. The more entries you have the greater chance you'll win a free song!

Post all comments in response to this post. IMPORTANT: don't post to the youtube videos; it won't be counted.

I must say, it's a little odd for me to be marketing my music like this. :) However, I would really love to get my music out there, and see what kind of feedback I get. There's no time like the present so let me present:

3. "How I Fell" (YouTube refuses to let this one load. Just ignore it for now :))
~ PHCers: This is the one I played at the coffee house show. :)

6. "Lemonade" --- Ignore the bit about the "CD."

DEADLINE: June 5th!

P.S. I apologize for the lag in the videos and the actual recordings will sound much better. :)

God Bless you all! <3

These sound great! Looking forward to buying a copy of the full CD/EP :-)

1. This version was slower-paced than the one I've heard you play at PHC. I kind of like the up-tempo one better, but this was fine.

2. Wouldn't load on my mobile YouTube :-/

4-5. Love these! Sounds like a cross between Rosie Thomas, Regina Spektor and Sara Bareilles. Hope these make the final cut.

6. This one should be your lead single. Great, bouncy acoustic-pop flair with a dancefloor-ready beat. :-) Really glad you brought in the lower-octave piano part and added instrumental depth as the song progressed.

First, let me say I LOVED seeing your face again... alive and happy :)

Listed in order of favorite to least I like: Jackal Dear, Lemonade, When He Chooses, Her Lullaby, Run Away and then How I Fell.

Comments:
1. Jackal Dear
This is my absolute favorite. I LOVED it at the harmonicomedy, and I love it still :) I agree with the post before mine, I liked the peppy/faster/more up-beat version better. Haha, I like your comment on youtube: this is a song. about boys. :P

2. Her Lullaby
The music for this one is so soothing, both lullaby and romantic at the same time. Very close runner up to my original favorite. I love the message of hope. I am among the girls who give up :P

3. How I Fell
Quite sorry the video wouldn't load. I really wanted to hear it! :( :( :(

4. When He Chooses
I love the mood/feel of this piece. I like the part of the doll left out in the rain. Well, all the images through the entire song... the pen. I think I identify with this song the most.

5. Run Away
Again, I love the feel of this piece. Very pretty... I still have my other favorites though :P I especially like all the changes in the tone, I think this one has the most contrast and I like it a lot.

6. Lemonade
I hadn't heard this one before! I LOVE this piece though, it reminds me of "Anything like Me" the song on the Movie, Juno. I love the message and the theme in this piece.

Isabelle, you never quite cease to amaze.

First off, I would like to say that you are an AMAZING lyricist. You have a way with words that is uncanny and for that I applaud you.

My favoite songs in order would then be: Lemonande, Her Lullaby, Run Away, Jackal Dear, When He Chooses. (How I fell, I did not hear,so thus I cannot include it in my ratings!)

Lemonade: While there were other songs with much more depth, this song just had that overall likeability that made it my favoite. I love the tune and the playful romantic feel.

Her lullaby: This truly has the lullaby feel that makes it warm and beautiful to listen to. Well written and absolutely beautiful.

Run Away: Lyrically, this was my favorite (Followed my When He Chooses) It was rich in wording and told a good story (as do the rest of your songs)

Jackal Dear: Very adorable and the chorus really took it. It has a cute, upbeat sound and the underlying message, finally hit at the end was very clever.

When He Chooses: This one was quite lyrically rich as well. I agree with the comment about the doll, it was indeed my favorite part of the song. Honestly, I stuggle to put it last. I really did love it, and I have the feeling if I listened to it again, it may go up on my ratings greatly.

All in all, I love the message of your songs. You know how to tell a story, beginning, middle, and end within a few minutes and that is remarkable. Each song has a message and I think the end is the strongest part of all of them. You know how to use soft, slow hushes in your voice, partnered with lyrics that tie up the loose ends. You are incredible, keep it up!

haha

Jackal Dear - made me laugh! A great bouncy sort of tune...not too repetitive (which is one thing that I can't *stand* in songs!)...great balance!

Her Lullaby - beautiful!!! LOVE the piano! ♥♥♥

When He Chooses - you are so adorable, Belle!! <3 Okay, I love this one!! Probably my favorite.

Run Away - really liked...another beautiful piano arrangement.

Lemonade - okay, I know I keep saying that I like all of them, but...I do. And this is another one. :D haha You are so talented, dear!!

Yay! Congrats on your first giveaway! FINALLY ;)

::hugs::

My favorite is definitely "How I Fell"

OK, so now I'm going to rank them for you :)

1. How I Fell

2. Her Lullaby

3. Run Away/ Lemonade (depending on my mood!)

4. Jackal Dear

5. When He Chooses

I like Jackal a lot, especially b/c of PHC ;) The only reason it's #4 is b/c I probably wouldn't listen to it as much as the top few.

Great job w/ them, though- I'm excited to download them when they're ready!!
